Edwin (Ed) E. Beckwith 93, a resident of Barefoot Bay, FL passed away on June 15, 2017.

He was born on October 19, 1923 in Castleton on the Hudson, NY. Ed earned his Bachelors and Masters Degrees from Ithaca College, NY. He was married for 58 years to the late Ruth Brennan Beckwith. They lived in New York, Maryland, and Barefoot Bay, FL. Ed served in the U.S. Navy aboard the USS Stembel (DD-644) during WWII, he was also in the Pacific Theater.

Ed was a life member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, a sixty years member of the American Legion of Severna Park, MD, Loyal Order of Moose Sebastian River Lodge, and Fraternal Order of the Orioles, Micco, FL.

Ed is survived by the joys of his life, daughters, Nancy Stocks, Joyce Brady, and Susan McKinnon; five grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. Edwin was preceded in death by his brother, Robert F. Beckwith and grandson, Justin Brady.

A Celebration of Life will be held on June 28, 2017 at 11:00 am at Seawinds Funeral Home, Sebastian, FL. Internment will be at Bushnell National Cemetery at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Sebastian Area Honor Guard, 807 Louisiana Ave, Sebastian, FL 32958.
