Margaret (Boenisch) Meacham, 84, Barefoot Bay, FL, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 17, 2017, while at the Hospice House in Vero Beach, surrounded by her loving family. She was born September 1933 in Pittsburgh, PA, to Margaret (Abendroth) and Peter Boenisch of Spring Hill. She attended Allegheny High School. Margaret was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Helmut Boenisch.
She was a retired employee of the Sumter, SC Lowes Home Improvement Center. She was a loving mother, and proud grandmother, and great-grandmother.
Margaret leaves behind her children: J L Allen (Leona), Judy Laraby, Jill Brodeur, Marcy Sieli (Tony), Cindy Lussier (Kurt), and Laura Parent (Jason); grandchildren: Jennifer Taylor (Brett), Megan Powell (Chad), Erin Davis (Antoine), Ryan Allen, Jessica Sieli, Hayden Bousley, Morgan Bousley, Gina Sieli, Emily Bousley, and Annistyn Parent; and four great-grandchildren. She also leaves behind her nieces Karen Forchette, Kim Waters (Greg), and nephew Kurt Boenisch (Mary); many dart and card-playing friends, and her many life-long friends.
Margaret enjoyed spending time with her family, reading, and traveling. She had traveled to many of the 50 states, plus many of the Caribbean Islands, Canada, and five European countries, with the highlight being Germany to visit both of her parents’ hometowns.
The family wishes to express their sincere gratitude to Brevard VITAS Healthcare, the Indian River VNA Hospice visiting team, and the Vero Beach Hospice House staff for all the loving care and heartfelt sympathy they provided.
